Thank you for mentioning equine massage as well. Horses can get so much more from their chiropractic adjustments when given a massage beforehand to loosen the soft tissue. The adjustment is usually much more effective and the imbalance less likely to return when the two are used together.

That horse is still growing so you do not want a lot of weight on that horse. Some of the issues with the race horses is that they are ridden too hard. So you would still want to stay below the 20% point and do not ride for long periods of time. I would prefer that a horse not be ridden until they are over 3 years old. There is a lot of ground training that can be done with a 2 year old and there is no reason to be impatient, since the horse will be around for the next 20+ years.

You should check out this new web-based animal reality show called Animal Movers. It is about a pet transportation company that moves animals all around the world. They move many different types of animals. The first episode was about moving Rhodesian Ridgebacks to Hawaii. It was very interesting and family friendly. You can find it at www.animalmovers.tv

The only commercials I look forward to are the Clydesdales. Their commercials over the years are priceless. Instead the network uses the most ignorant commercials ever made. We will definitely turn off the sound during commercial breaks and use conversation to not look at TV, that's how angry I am.

An interesting discussion is worth comment. I think that you should write more on this topic, it might not be a taboo subject but generally people are not enough to speak on such topics. To the next. Cheers

I have just signed the GoPetition and horse lovers are outraged.
http://www.gopetition.com/petitions/end-horse-slaughter-in-canada-now.html
At least they have to pay to transport them to Mexico and Canada. That at the very least slows up the slaughtering process. We don't want it in the US!!!!!

Thank you for addressing the issue of prevention rather than cure. For five years, I never had any positive fecals on my farm. It was only after bringing in new horses from an unknown regimen that parasites were reintroduced to my property. I am quite sure they can be managed with proper attention.
