Budweiser Clydesdale ads did not make the cut for the SuperBowl

Are you kidding me? The Clydesdales are not going to be in the SuperBowl this year? Those powerful iconic, I think of Budweiser every time I see one, Clydesdales are not going to be a commercial in this years Super Bowl!

I understand that Budweiser needs to be very selective about its choosing of commercials especially when it costs about $2.5 million for 30 secs, but come on its the Clydesdales! They have had the best commercials – the horse football teams (who can forget the one with the sheep streaker), the little foal wishing to grow up and be one of the majestic horses in the Budweiser harness, The Budweiser the donkey coveting to be a Budweiser Clydesdale, and even just the Budweiser Clydes hooked up to the cart delivering the Bud. Classic and traditional like Budweiser itself.

In full disclosure I do not drink, but I have friends who do! When we buy beer for parties it is always Budweiser and Corona (full disclosure here: I know Corona is not a Bud product). I am hoping to change the minds of the Budweiser execs and go with a Clydesdale commercial for the Super Bowl. It is going to be difficult, according to an MSNBC article, Budweiser going for laughs this Super Bowl, marketing exec Keith Levy stated that the Clydesdale ads did not pass consumer testing. That’s a shame, but I would like all you horse lovers, Super Bowl ad lovers and Budweiser lovers if you agree with me and wish to see the Clydesdales at the SuperBowl – give Budweiser a call and let them know – 1-800-DIAL-BUD Maybe we can make a difference as the final choices have not been made. We have until Feb 7th!

I live in Australia and I think the clydesdales use din the budweiser ads are magnigicent and really should be a permanent ad for this product, being a non drinker doesnt mean to say I do not enjoy the ad, I can only see these horses on youtube and it is a shame if they do not make the cut. You see these horses and what do you think of “budweiser”, thats what one connects with these horses.
Isnt that what one expects of good advertisisng and these horses are the best

Please, I beg of you to bring back that beautiful “Clydesdale’s galloping in the snow, with the people riding in the sleigh” with the festive holiday music playing in the background…What happened? Why does such a memorable, delightful commercial have to go away….Can’t we hold on to a little something of the past, that brings forth such sweet memories. I have seen the Clydesdale’s many times, at different venues and have fallen in love with all of those huge, gentle giants….love, love, them…Please bring them back!

I cannot believe that these symbols of our fav beer for superbowl are not going to be used for the commercials….What are they thinking ?? Time to change our beer?

Budweiser’s image has changed, and not for the better since they quit using these lovely, powerful horses as their symbol.  I cannot believe that anyone in that company could fail to realize the commercial appeal of these teams.  There is something about them that raises the spirit of all who see them.  And that is something that is dearly needed.  I actually quit buying their beer when they went to those stupid “wassup’ ads instead.  When I need an uplift, I do view all of the you tube vids, but I would dearly love to see these horses featured again.

The only commercials I look forward to are the Clydesdales.  Their commercials over the years are priceless.  Instead the network uses the most ignorant commercials ever made.  We will definitely turn off the sound during commercial breaks and use conversation to not look at TV, that’s how angry I am.
